Located in the heart of Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel, Turk Lahmajoun is a culinary gem that offers an authentic taste of Turkish cuisine. Situated on Nahalat Binyamin St, this cozy restaurant has quickly become a favorite among locals and tourists alike. Known for its delicious lahmajoun, a traditional Turkish flatbread topped with seasoned minced meat, the restaurant captures the essence of Turkish street food in a contemporary, relaxed setting.

When you step into Turk Lahmajoun, you are immediately greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The space is casual, with minimalist décor that highlights the simplicity and freshness of the food. The open kitchen allows diners to watch as the staff prepares each lahmajoun from scratch, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the care and attention that goes into each dish.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly the lahmajoun. This dish, often referred to as "Turkish pizza," features a thin, crispy crust topped with a savory mixture of minced lamb or beef, along with onions, tomatoes, and a blend of spices. The result is a delightful combination of flavors that are both rich and aromatic, with just the right amount of spice to complement the savory meat. What sets Turk Lahmajoun apart from other places serving this dish is their emphasis on high-quality ingredients and the use of traditional methods. The dough is freshly made each day, ensuring a soft yet crispy texture that perfectly complements the topping.

In addition to the lahmajoun, Turk Lahmajoun offers a variety of side dishes and accompaniments that enhance the overall dining experience. The hummus is smooth and creamy, providing a perfect contrast to the spiced flavors of the lahmajoun. Fresh salads, made with locally sourced vegetables, add a refreshing crunch that balances out the richness of the meat. For those who enjoy a bit of heat, the spicy tomato paste served on the side is a must-try.

The restaurant also takes pride in its drink selection, offering traditional Turkish beverages such as ayran, a chilled yogurt drink that pairs wonderfully with the savory dishes. The drink menu also features a selection of fresh juices, perfect for those who prefer a non-alcoholic refreshment to accompany their meal.

Turk Lahmajoun has quickly built a reputation not only for its mouth-watering food but also for its excellent service. • Great Turkish place, amazing Donner and Kebabs and other Turkish oriented grilled food. Great value for money (when you eat there)

  • Great Shawarma. If you order it in a Laffah (the Iraqi pitta bread) you will be full and well fed. The pitta is large, thick and very tasty! (did I mention how I love dough? :) ) I oredr a mixture of the three kinds of meat they have on the large skews (chicken, turkey, lamb) and the guy there told me to go with Turkey/Lamb combination, which was delicious!

  • Quick services with a plethora of choices. I got the chicken shawarma in a pita. The pita itself was fluffy and filled with meat. All in it cost ₪43

  • One of the more famous shawarma joints in Tel Aviv. They are famous for their lahmajoun shawarma, which is a lavash bread baked with meat chunks on it, and then you add the additional shawarma meat and all the topics inside the shawarma. Definitely one way to leave the spot with meat sweats and a smile on your face. Side dishes include salads, fries, and pickled veggies - all free as they should be in all restaurants in Israel.

  • One of the best pita pocket sandwiches with fresh meat I've eaten on my entire trip to Israel. Decently large pocket filled to the brim with meat, filled with toppings such as fries and sauce. Once eaten along with the unlimited side dishes which are self service, it's absolutely fantastic. The sour pickles, carrots, cabbage all cut the richness of the meat creating a perfect balance. Fast service and while none of the menu was in English, the host was willing to explain the menu for me.

  • Great shawarma (had the mix) and salads. Not the best sitting experience, but not the worst as well. They are very good with the quantities and the lachmjoun definitely adds to the taste. Very recommended!

  • One of the best Turkish Shawarma in the world. The service is amazing and the food is delicious. Be sure to come before /after the rush hours during lunch.

  • A definite recommendation for when the shwarma craving hits. Three choices of meat; chicken, turkey and lamb. The actual pita was perfectly fresh and fluffy, making for an A+ meal.
